Warning! Microsoft is sending down the "Ban Hammer" for those playing pirated versions of the new Halo: ODST

A few fortunate gamers were able to pick up copies of the next Halo game, Halo 3: ODST, when a French retail store inadvertently put the game -- which isn't due to release until September 22 -- up for sale last week. Copies turned up for download on file-sharing networks shortly thereafter, but there's a nasty surprise in store for any Xbox 360 owners who tries to play them.
Pirates to recieve unpleasant surprise

According to the Twitter feed of Xbox Live's Policy and Enforcement Director, anyone spotted playing downloaded copies of the game on Xbox Live faces a permanent ban from the service.

"Hrm. I spy with my little eye some *illegitimate* ODST players. No early play for you. Commencing permabans," he said yesterday. He later clarified that those who bought legitimate copies early will not be punished.

"If a user happens to purchase a legit copy of Halo 3: ODST early, then our problem is not with the user but the retailer who broke the street date. Those individuals will not be punished," he told Kotaku.

Microsoft is also known to ban users from Xbox Live for modifying their consoles, cheating, offensive behavior, or fraud.

So if you're jonesing for a look at ODST, but you're not one of the few fortunate individuals to have secured a legitimate copy early, we highly recommend you make do with this awesome, just-released trailer instead.

He's started a clothing line called Jesus Didn't Tap and even created his own form of combat fighting, called Tose Kune Do. Now 37 years old, Jason has decided to step into the world of MMA.

Douchebags Now Have The Perfect Hand Sanitizer

Ed Hardy by Christian Audiger is expanding its garish tee-shirt and jeans empire into the wild world of hand sanitizer. That's right.

The fancy sanitizer comes in a 2 oz bottle for $5, or 9.3oz for $13, and smells like coconut and bergamot. Plus, you get the free added bonus of a bottle decorated with a tiger making love to a cobra on the back of a fire-breathing dragon.

Not to Auditacky: That's not a bonus!

Also available are Ed Hardy sanitizing pens and Ed Hardy foaming handsoap.

Stallworth's career is basically over

"

Cleveland Browns wide receiver Donte' Stallworth has been suspended without pay for the 2009 season for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy and its substance abuse policy, the league said Thursday.

Stallworth Interview

Kid Cudi Talks W/ Complex On World's Shortest Beef With Consequence

This didn't make it to Cudi's interview for his recent cover issue of Complex. Left out, but still pretty interesting, Cudi talks with Joe LaPuma about his shortlived rivalvary with Consequense that sparked at his cousin Q-Tip's album release party.

Complex: You’ve managed to stay out of beef pretty well, but what about the whole Consequence situation that happened early on when you were signed to G.O.O.D.?

Kid Cudi: He took it like I gave him a dry “what up” at the Q-Tip party, like I was trying to play him. But I was just completely obliterated out of my skull. And what I found strange was that I spotted him and made my way through the crowd to see him so I don’t see where the confusion would’ve come from, but I just would’ve liked for him to hit me up first. We’re human beings and sometimes we move off emotion. He felt disrespected and he felt like he had to do what he had to do. Me, personally, I would’ve just called the man and said “What’s poppin?” I would think twice before saying some negative shit, because we’re all in the same fam and the alliances have been made. So we talked about it and you know he apologized and everything was kinda like whatever. I told him how I felt he told me how he felt; we respected each other’s opinions, and that’s why we were able to flip it and keep it moving so quickly.

Complex: It was odd for him to put out that video, no?

Kid Cudi: It was like, “I wish I could just talk to him and see what’s wrong,” but the video was so aggressive that it put me in the “fuck it” mindset. No sweat off my sack, I didn’t do anything wrong, God knows I didn’t do anything wrong. I’m a fan of Consequences’ work, so I’m glad we were able to talk and squash it and it was daps and pounds. And ever since then me and Cons’ been tight. Ya’ll seen it from doing records and shows together. I got a joint that I’m doin’ on his album which is really fresh; I did a hook for him and you know, G.O.O.D music is on the move. It’s an alliance.

This is the video that sparked it all off:
